Sri Rama Navami Celebrations at Gita Bhavanam-2009.

Sri Rama Navami urchavam at GITA BHAVANAM, MADURAI on 3.4.2009.
Valmiki Ramayanam Lecture serial for 9 days was conducted by Vidya Bhushanam Sri P.P.Sudarsan, M.A.(Sanskrit), Lecturer in Sanskrit, Sourashtra College, Madurai and Guest Lecturer, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, from 26.3.2009. The topics for nine days were as under
Rama avatharam, Sita Kalyanam, Kaikeyi peRRa iru varangaL, Pathuka Pattabhishekam,
Panchavati Gamanam, Vali Moksham, Sethu Bhandhanam, Vagai suuDiya VaLLal, Sri Ramar Pattabhishekam.
I could attend only for 3 days. i.e. on 3rd, 8th and 9th final day.
He told that Kaikeyi knew fully well that because of a curse Dasarathan is to die due to the estrangement of his beloved Son Sri Rama. She knew that after 14 years of hermitage life in forest Sri Rama will return and carry out the rule of Ayodhya which Dasarathan did.
Yet Kaikeyi earned a notorious name and nobody comes forward to name their female child as Kaikeyi.
Though Sita suffered for 14 years, and faced adverse comments regarding her chastity, yet people prefer to name name their children as Sita and Sitaraman.
The epic is an enchanting story which never makes anybody boredom to listen again and again through hundreds of Harikatha exponents.
On 8th Day Dr.D.K.Subramanian felicitated Sri P.P.Sadarsan. He told his maiden lecture was performed in Gita Bhavanam only. So Sri P.P.Sudarsan’s maiden lecture here will elevate him to the highest state in the years to come.
On 9th and final day, i.e. on 3rd April 2009, Dr.T.R.Damodaran gave his encomiums for the beautiful lecture based on Valmiki Ramayanam. Smt. S.P.Geetha Bharathi also praised Sri P.P.Sudarsan for delivering his lectures without any flaw.
Finally he was honoured with ponnadai and bhagavat prasadam. Prasadam was distributed to all.
