Sourashtra Dharma Paripalana Sevan Sangam, No.9, Raghava Chetty Street, Choolai,
Perambur Barracks Road, Chennai-600112 conducted the 3 day celebrations of sathasamvathsaram [completion of of 100 years = Centenary] of Sri Prasanna Venkatesa
Perumal Devasthanam which is situated in Choolai, Chennai.
The land was donated by Nine members of Vidin Family. So, in the function
their descendents were honoured on 26th April 2010 in the evening.
Amonthly Journal by name Sou - Rashtra Vijayam was also released.

The function was a grand success to the Sourashtra Community.

Heritage Week !
I came to know that Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace in Madurai is open for a week
upto 24th April 2010 without any Ticket. Yes, admission is free. No Ticket need be purchased; you have to enter your name in the register kept.
I just visited the Palace after renovation ! The colour painting is not yet complete.
And the maintenance is not satisfactory. Whether it is lack of funds?
We do not know.
