Adopting Devanagari Script for Sourashtra Language

Re: ADOPTING '
DEVA NAGARI ' SCRIPT TO WRITE SOURASHTRA LANGUAGE
To: sourashtramadhyasabha@yahoogroups.com

Sri P.G.M.Thulasiram, Dindigul, the former President
of Sourashtra Madhya Sabha took three full years for
the implementation of the resolution passed by the
5th Sourashtra Brahmana Mahanad held in 1920 that
Devanagari Script will be used for Sourashtra
Language.

He gave blessing to Prof.R.Krishnamoorthy who wrote
the book 'Moola Sourashtra Bhasha Lipi' writing the
Devanagari Script introducing some changes. It was
not accepted and finally it has to be abandoned.

Now CIIL, Mysore has devised a new script
Parivartana Devanagari for the use of Sourashtra Language. It is
to be seen how many people accept this notation.

Since they are still experimenting with Parivartana
Devanagari Script, I do not want to make any
comment.

We shall wait and see what the present President of
Sourashtra Madhya Sabha Mr. Bajji J. Radhakrishnan
and his team are going to do with Devanagari Script.

Our slogan is practice writing in Sourashtram in any
script you know.

UPAMANYU.
